A few particulars of the Waikau murder have reached here, and are as follow :—The prisoner was engaged in Jnlj' to Mr. Anderson, of Wyndham, for a year, but he was so lazy that he got a notice of dismissal aite f hg r,ad been there a fortnight. 'This indolence, and his unfounded jealousy, led his wife to express the wish that ha would die, On M'Rae's Station, where he went about the middle of August, the prisoner's conduct was so unsatisfactory that he soon got notice to quit. TIMAPwU. September 20. Messrs. Allan and Stumbles succeeded in getting the brigantino Lapwing, which was wrecked recently, oft' the beach last evening. The steamer Koputai is expected here to-day to tow the Lapwing to Port Chalmers, where her injuries, which are not nearly so serious aa was anticipated, will be repaired!
