Drigantino—Endeavour. 3-masted Schooner—Garron. •Schooners—Jane Anderson, Isabella Pratt. Ketches—Anna, Good Templar. Tho 9.3. Waitaki, 1228 tons, Captain Edie, arrived in port from Dunedin at G o'clock thia morning with a few passengers and 40 tons of cargo. The s.s. Star of the South, Captain Hughes, arrived in port this morning from Oreyinouth with 100 tons of coal, consigned to Mr. H. Aitken. She will take in a cargo of produce, and sail for Dunedin to-morrow. The schooner Isabella Pratt, Capt. Cross, came into port yesterday evening from Wellington, with a cargo of coal. Tho 3-masted schooner Garron, Capt. Arnold, arrived to-day from Newcastle, ■which port she left on the 31st ult. She brings a cargo of coal for the N.Z.L. & M.A. Company. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Bi.ukp, September 16. The barque Clifton, from Lyttelton, when entering the harbor this afternoon, the wind failed, and the anchor fouled, the vessel drifting on to the rocks. There is no immediate danger. She is making no water, and it is expected will float next tide. It is calm, with no sea. Melbourne, September 16. The Underwriters' Association reports the arrival in London, on the 13th inst., of the Riolto, from Wellington. The Auckland, from Loudon to Dunedin, Btranded going down the Thames, but got off without apparent injury. Sydney, September 16. China advices report the wreck of the Australian ship Harlow, on the Chinese coast. She is expected to be a total wreck. A steamer has gone to her assistance. Three out of the four boats which left the ship wore pickod up. Nine of the crew are still missing. Inveucarcjill, September 16. The steamer Oreti grounded whilst entering the Now River yesterday afternoon, and remained hard and fast all night on a mud bank. She did not get off this morning, and it is reported she is seriously injured.
