Connell and Clowes report that they held a sale of grain at their stores on Saturday. 55 bags short oats were sold at 4s j 487 ba"s feed oats at 3s o_d to 3s 10d,— Section 5, black XXVI., OamaruTown, with frontage of 1(15 feet to Tees-street, was leased in 5 lots at from 10s to 17s per foot ; section 7, block XXVII., at 120 per annum. Mr. George Greenfield reports a sale on Saturday at his rooms, Tyue-street, but few Hues were offered. Potatoes realised from 10s to 7s per bag ; bags, Sd. Saddle, L 3 10s. _ « ENGLISH COMMERCIAL. [BY CABLE.] Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agcucy Company roporfc, under date London, 13th September : At the wool sales the competition is decreasing, and tho market is weaker. The principal decline has been in medium and superior greasy cross-breds. The market for scoured is easier. The principal advance has been in medium and inferior washed. Thoro is a moderate demand on German account, but French requirements are moderate. Trade in the manufacturing districts is dull. Up to date, 144,000 bales have been sold. For tallow there is a fair trade demand. Supplies of town melted are light. Stocks of all sorts are 24,500 casks. Mutton is worth 38s 6'd ; beef, 375. The wheat market is Hat. Adelaide, 50s ; New Zealand, 49s per quarter. Leather market easier ; best sides, ltd.
