SPECIAL TELEGRAMS.
[from our OWN OORKBSFONDBNT. ] DUNEDIN. September 6. A number of outbuildings at Green Island were burned last evening. The property belonged to an old identity now in England. The fire originated from a Bpark out of the boiler furnace and extended rapidly. The weather is glorious, and the town is gaily decked with bunting. The preparation* for the evening's illuminations are of the most complete order. Gifts for the Carnival are coming in freely.
