COMPETITIVE DESIGNS are hereby INVITED for a HOSPITAL, to be erected in Brick, at Waimate, to be sent in to the County Clerk under "Motto," on or before noon on the 2Sth INST. L2O will be paid to the Author of the Plan selected. Cost, L2OOO. The Plan to be complete in itself, but a portion only may be erected at present, to cost L 1,200. The plan and specification will be absolutely the property of the Council. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Ploughing will begin at 9 o'clock. The amount of ground to be ploughed by each competitor is two-thirds of an acre for doublc-furrov.s, aud five-eighths for swing plough. Time—s4 hours, including half an hour for lunch. 2. In Classes B and C, each man to make his own break, and cleave it out. The furrow to be not more than 9 inches wide, nor less than 6 inches deep. No straight coulters allowed. In Class A, each man to make crown and finish ; the furrow to be not more than S inches wide, nor less than 5 inches deep. 3. Assistance allowed at first and last rouuds only. 4. Start and finish to be notified by gunfire. Entry money, 10s. Members free.
