The whole of the profits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses to the amount of £yU»,U<l<> have already been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1574, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving adrtitiims to policies averaging £3 per cent, per annum on the sum assured. The bonnses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £ls per cent, on the sum assured for a policy of five years standing to .£l-30 per cent, for one o' twenty-live years duration.
