NORTH OTAGO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A special meeting of the Committee of this Association was hold to-day at tlu Secretary's oitico. There were present : Messrs. "Morton (in fhe chair), Bromley, Mitchell, Meniove. Goiiimell, Stevenson, Dunlop, Konayne, Duncan, Steward. Young, Borrie. Henderson, and Ghurcli (Secretary). Mr. Eonnyne said he understood thai d the Hon. M. Holmes had offered to sell i. six sections, amounting to an acre and ay half, adjoining the present ground, for [l LGOO. He thought the addition of these sections would make the present ground ,t large enough. He would therefore move !_ that these sections should be purchased. t Mr. Borrie seconded the motion. Mr. Young moved as a further amendment that a" Sub-Committee should be appointed to negotiate with Mr. Barniclough for the purchase of 20 acres of land: This was not seconded. After some further discussion of a desultory nature, Mr. Gemniell's amendment was put and carried, and the subject left over for further consideration. A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business.
