At the Conference to-day it. was resolved that, power to issue miners' rights hi granted to Comities ; also, that, the Government should give grants in aid to ah arterial roads of colonial importance. Where, anv part of lie- Colony is not benelired by the expenditure on railways i should have a claim upon the coloniafunds for the construction of main roads : also, that, where native lands or waste hauls of tiie Crown are exempt from taxation the Government, should grant a subside equal to ihe rat"S which Would otherwise be collected. The ouextion of fencing was referred to a Committee.
