Mr. Gladstone, in a 21 hours' speech, fiercely attacked the Anglo-Turkish convention and the occupation of Cyprus as unconstitutional. He said that Earl Boaconsfield's agreement was made in consequence of the Russians achieving a diplomatic success. j Svr>XKV, August 2. A reduction lias been made in the cable charges between Sydney and New /■U'ldand of : J/i pc-r cent, August 3. The New Caledonia insurrection has been suppressed.
