CHRISTCHURCH. July 26. The Canterbury Coursing Club held a meeting to-dsiy. The weather was fine, but cold. There was a large attendance, but the hare.s unfortunately were rather scarce. For the Sapling Stakes there were twelve entries, and for the Canterbury Cup thirty-two entries, In the Cup match the first courses were won by the Christchurch dogs Goll Goll, Leo, Blue Cap, Gill Gill, Reuben, Russian Emperor, Master "Walter, and Spring, the Oamaru dogs, Le Rouge, Magic, Mechanic, and Frolic, the Invercargill dog Gazelle, the Dunedin dog Cumberland, and the Tokomairiro dog Verbena.
DUJSEDIjST. July 26. A conference between representatives of the Corporation. Harbor Board, and Chamber of Commerce was held to-day, and fix -l upon another site for a railway a»ods station.
