NORTH OTAGO COURSING CLUB.

The following is the conclusion of our description of yesterday's coursing meeting, the late hour at which the event was concluded having rendered it impossible for us. to publish our full report in last night's issue

Co/net and Shylock' ran an undecided course, the hare getting away before the dogs had an opportunity of doing anything. Brenda and Kakanui had a c;ipital run. Kakanui run up for ajittle distance, but Brenda soon gave Kakanui a co-by, and assumed the lead for sonii' distance. Kakanui got in once again, but failed to do much, Brenda eventually killing the hare, and winning the course. Then came an event which was looked forward to with some interest, viz., a course between Rose and Kathleen, the latter being a warm favorite. Hose led from the slips by favor, and had the run principally to herself, Kathleen failing to do anything to avert defeat. Rose eventually killed her hare, and won tolerably easily. Cornet and Shylock then ran oil' their undecided oourse. Shylock was the first to move oil', and soon hid a strong lead, following his hare capitally, and working well. Cornet appeared to be out-paced, and was never in the hunt until the death. The first ties in first eight were then started. Temuka and Wild rake had a long, hard run. 'iVmuka had all the best of the hunt, doing a 'greater portion of the work, though Wildrake scored a few points. Morning Star had not much difficulty in disposing of Tamo' Shanter in a very short course, Morning Star killing hur hare after a run of a couple of hundred yards. Cornet and Shylock had a short spin, Shylock killing tin- : are very quk-kly ; but Corn-.it was tlie winner, having scorer] a larger number of points. Brenda and llose also i a short spin, Brenda scoring two turns and a joint kill against almost nothing of Rose. The first pair the second" were Temuka and Morning Star. A capital run took place. At the shirt, Temuka appeared to have a loiig way the best of the ruq, Morning Star being apparently ymsighted When she did get in, she made things very warm for Temuka, scoring point after point in rapid succession, and wtvs declared the winner, After » long, hard oonrso. Coronet and Bronda had a regular crueller after a very strong hare. Brenda imii up to the hare for some distance, but Coronet gave her a go-by and maintained rlie premier position for the remainder of the course, so far as crdd be seen, winning the course.
