The whole of'the proiits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses to the amount of £*> 10,000 have already been allotteU. The iast division of profits took place in 1574, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,1*10, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent, per annum on the sum assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £ls per cent, on the sum assured for a policy of live years' standing to £l5O per ceut. for one or twenty-live years duration. Bonuses become vested additions years in force. The proats realised during the last live rears will lie ascertained and divided as at 31 dt December next, and all policies issued oa or before that date will be eutitled to participate in the profits of quinquennium.
