Notwithstanding the refusal of the Porte, Austria will occupy Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the sanction of the Powers. Prussia receives from Kilia to the Pruth; Roumania, from Lilistria to Mangolia (a town on the Black Sea). The Powers are urging the acceptance by Turkey of the Austrian occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vienna, July 1. Austria is massing troops on the frontier. Four transports have just been ordered to Malta. Their ultimate destination is unknown. (SPECIAL TO THE PRESS AGENCY.) London, July 3. At the Congress Austria demanded the freedom and neutrality of the Danube. The terms of peace are understood to be admitted. The question of indemnity is left to Russia and Turkey, on the condition that the Turkish creditors shall have a first claim. Bismarck has warned Russia that in the event of Turkey's failure in payment, no territory is claimable by Russia. The European settlement of boundaries is final. July 3. Congress has heard Delayannes, the Greek delegate on the Greek claims, including Crete ; also, with reference to the Protectorate of Thessaly and Epirus. No decision was arrived at. The Turks protest against Austrian- occupation of Bosnia. Congress cedes Bessarabia to Russia. The new southern frontier of Roumania is from Silistria to the Black Sea. Montenegro gets a small extension of territory,'besides Antwere. The Pan-Anglican Synod at Lambeth Palace was opened to-day. Many American and Colonial bishops were present. The quarter's revenue shows a decrease of L4!>,273.
