[FROM OUR o*;; <:oRKSsroNDENT.] PALMiiRSTON. .Tunc SC. Tn the District- Court yesterday, bcforo His Honor Judge Harvey and a jury of twelve. William Fowler, mill owner, was put on his trial, charged with an indecent Mary Wood. Mr. 0. K. T'uton, Crown Prosecutor, conducted t'ie prosecution, and the accused xss ably d.-t' p.'\-'d by Mr. O'Meagher, of Oanuiru, •i•.-1 Mr. J. T. Alston, of Palmeraton. T'-!3 trial lasted the a-iiolo of the day. Tho jury returned a verdict of Not guilty. The Court is now proceeding with other cases.
