MISS FIDLER (From the Edinburgh School of Cookery) Begs to intimate to the Ladies of Oamaru that she will give a course of Practical Leasons in Cookery. The course of instruction will consist of Twelve Lessons, accompanied with illustratnitions of practical cooking- A barge Gas Stove has been fitted up, anil Pupils will bo enabled to see the various processes of conking from first to last. The Classes are so arranged as to meet the requirements of people in different positions in life. The afternoons of Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will be devoted to superior as well as plain cooking. The Evening Classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays will be devoted to the plainer style of cooking. Young ladies attending school during the week are invited to attend the .Saturday Lessons. The Lessons will be of two hours' (or more) duration each day, between the hours of two and four in the afternoon and seven and nine in the evening. During the progress of -the Lesson, the teacher will minutely describe the ingredients, quantities, mixing, time of cooking; in fact every detail incidental to the Lessen, l'upils arc requested to provide themselves with a small note-book and pencil, that they may make their own notes, faud thereby retain what they could not trust to their memory. The articles made at each lesson will he laid on the counter, with the price attached, and pupils will be at liberty to purchasethem. The Lessons will include the Cooking of Soups, Poultry, Entrees, Fish, Stews, etc.; Cakes, Pastry, Puddings, Pics, Jellies, etc. Special care will be taken to bliow the pupils that not an atom of material used in the kitchen need be wasted or thrown away. One lesson in each course will bo devoted to Sick Room Cookery. The Instructress will be in attendance at the School on Monday, June 10, from till four, when persons wishing to join tlic classes are requested to enroll themselves "
