At a meeting of tho Waste Lande? Board to-day, the Chairman statod that, the proceeds of tho Gishorno land Halo amounted to L 4585, of which only 481 was paid in scrip. In conscqneiieo of the strong public feeling regarding the delay in prosecuting the Kaipara railway, Messrs. Macfarlano and Swanson, M.H.R.'s, telegraphed to the Premier, and Mr. Macandrew replied that tenders should bo immediately invited. At the annual meeting of the sli.awholders of the Moanatairi Gold-Minirig Company, the report states that a sum of L 38,053 had been distributed iu dividends.
