After Captain Seweil had been examined hy the Board yesterday in Committee as to rlie correctness of the statements made by the Hon. M. Holmes with r< gard to the deptii of water available at the Breakwater, the Board's Engineer (Mr M Gregov) was consulted on the subject ; and, after sjume discussion, it was resolved -' T.-.at the C mini tee, witii a view of setting at rest the various statementwnica have been made from time to time regard ng the depth of water in tin Harbor, desire to adjourn the consideration of the question until soundings, now b ■ins; taken, aiv completed, and an officii.i report h.i's been rec.ived from the engineer."
