The Union Company's p.s. Samson arrived at the Breakwater, from Dunedtn, at the usual hotir yesterday, with a fair complement of passengers and a large cargo. The schooner Columbia, Captain Conway, salted for Napier at ".:!<> this morning, with a full cargo of produce. The ketch Cafelin. Captain Anderson, proceeded on her way to Lyttelton this morning.

The schooner Martha Reid, Captain Sundstrom, completed her loading with produce to-day. and will probably sail this evening for Nelson.

The schooner Eliznbcth Cnrle completed h.i* her unloading, anil will load with produce for Nelson.

The schooner Sissy has finished discharging her cargo, and will load ■with grain for Manakatu Tho schooner Endeavour will haul along- 1 sid« the wharf to-morrow morning, and commence discharging her cargo. The brigantine Oceota, after discharging a portion of her cargo of coal, will lie brought into the inner harbor on Wednesday, to complete her unloading. The three - masted schooner Vixen will commence taking grain on board for New .Plymouth directly she has finished discharging a quantity of timber. NOT [OR TO MARINERS. Masters of vessels should bear in mind that several changes in the tights to be shown take ptace this evening. The fixed white light on Cape Wanbrow will be altered to red, and the lixed red light on the end of Breakwater to green. This green light., according to the notice which appeared in the ftazette, will not, however, be exhibited during bad weather, when the danger lights (two white horizontal with a red light between them) are shown from the flagstaff. This evening a light will be exhibited front a lighthouse which has heen erected on the southern point of the Moerafci Peninsula, the characteristics of which are jjiven in the Gazette as follow :—Tho tower is 2S feet in height, built of wood, and painted white: the light will be a fixed while light of the third order, visible all ronnd as far as the land will allow- ; the light witt be elevated about 17<* fe<>t above the sea, and, allowing 15 feet for the height of the eye, will be seen at a distance of 10 nautic miles in clear weather, and at lesser distances according to the state of the atmosphere.
