It was a very good race, Jangler winning by a length. Time, 3min. 27-isocs. C'HAMPAOXE .STAKES, of 1 ;">() SOVS. Mr "Redwood's Natator ... (Matthews) 1 Mr Poynter's York ... ... (Ray) 2 Mr Mallock's Nemo ... (Lyford) 3 Atlantic, Merlin, and Waitaki also ran. This was a splendid race, and was won by a length. Nemo ran off the course in the straight, or might perhaps have won.
