(per press agency.) -= * WELLINGTON. April 13. The main reservoir is now practically empty, but in the distributing reservoir there are nineteen feet of water. This is due to the water being turned off every evening.
Mr. Clarke, 0.E., is vigorously employed making a comprehensive survey of the city for drainage purposes, every available assistant of the City Engineer's Staff being in constant employ. Sir George Grey was to have left Auckland to-day for Wellington, accompanied by Mr. Sheehan, but no word of his departure is yet, received. Mr. Stout is expected back at the end of this month. Cooper and Bailey's circus was opened this afternoon. There was a large attendance. Strong winds prevailed during the performance last night. ♦ i AUCKLAND. April 13.
