J/)Nr>ON, April 10. An extensive fire has occurred on tlie premises of Messrs. Nelson and Sous, publishers, Edinburgh. In replying to tlie memo, presented' by the colonists regarding the crisis in Victoria, Sir M. Hicks Beach read a telegram from Sir George Bowen stating that the crisis had ended, trade was reviving, and political animosities were subsiding. Sir M. H. Beach remarked that even if the (governor had made mistakes, it was not perhaps wjss to discuss his conduct now that the crisis was oyer, and promised to go carefully into the question of paying on votes of the Assembly merely. He will give the Governor instructions for future guidance. •
