SALES BY AUCTION than .Seven First Prizes in "Victoria. Her own slater Jessamine 13tb, is dam of Mr. Craig's famous red Cow; Otago Jessamine 2nd. It would take too much space to mention prizes awarded to the Waimotu Herd at various sb!>ws ; suffics it to say that the Shorthorn Cup has been won two years in succession by Mr. Craig. The bulls used in the herd were Prince Killerby (imported by the Hon. M. Holmes), Prince of the Butterflies (bred by (J. M. Bell, Esq., Waimea), and Waimotn Prince (out of Otago Jessamine 2nd by Prince Killerby). THE SHORTHORNS WILL BE HOLD OS THURSDAY, APRIL 18, IS7S. WAIMOTU HERD OF AYRSHIRES. The Ayrshire Herd started from the imported Cow Tibbie. This was one of the best-bred cows in New Zealand, her progeny have all been prize-takers. The Cow Fascination (out of Flirt) is allowed to be one of the very best in these Colonies ; no purer blood can be had. Her Sire, Vulcan, got in, or imported to, New Zealand. Neil, the sire of the yonng stook, is out of old Violet. This grand old cow has taken over Forty Prizes, and when shown in proper trim, has never been beaten. Violet is reckoned the Champion of New Zealand. Mr. Craig took the Ayrshire Cup at Oamaru Show, ISTiJ.
