THE WOOL MARKET.
* (per press AGENCT.) WKixiNGTcnr, April 9. The Loau and Mercantile Agenoy Oompany report as follows, under date London, April S :—The wool sales closed at au average decline of Jrl. to Id. per lb. The sales comprise about 213,000 bales. 37,000 bales have been held over for future disposal, and 125,000 were taken for export. The principal decline has been in medium and superior greasy, while inferior and medium declined Id. siuce the close of the last sales. Croasbreds are easier, and lambs firmer. _ The trade in the manufacturing districts is unchanged. Home buyers are purchasing sparingly, but there is a moderate competition on the French account.
