THIS DAY. I (Before T. W. Paiikkr, Esq., Vi.il.) STRAY CATTLE. Patrick Mullins, for allowing a cow to wander at large within the limits of the town, was fined 10s. DRUNKENNESS. Thomas Mitchell, charged with being drunk and disorderly in Thames-street yesterday, was fiued 10s., or forty-eight hours! imprisonment. Peter Adam Lisle was charged with having been drunk and disorderly in the English Church yesterday morning. Fined 205., or three days' imprisonment. ILLEGALLY ON" PREMISES. James White, charged with being illegally on the premises of Messrs. Fleming anil Hedley on the night of the 6th inst., was sent to gaol for three days. LAKCENY. Charles Johnston was charged with stealing two bags of oats, of the value of 2Ss., the property of Thomas Burke, Waitaki North. On the application of Sub-Inspector Smith, the case was adjourned till Wednesday, for the production of evidence. WIFE DESERTION Walter Perry was charged, on warrant, with deserting his -wife on the 29th January last at Port Chalmers. On the application of the police, he was remanded to Port Chalmers. Bail allowed in one surety of LIS.
