THE WATER CART.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENINO MAIL. Sir—Two letters appeared in your last night's issue anent tlie running of a water cart in the town. Ido not think the Council should be blamed in the matter, it is clear that it should be attended to by those most interested. The Council have quite enough to do at present. They work hard, especially in looking after the roads and footpaths. Why, look at some of the streets, which has been grossly neglected for years, directly a councillor has had it brought under his immediate notice (by living in it) that street has been beautifully transformed from a bush track to a kerbed and channelled avenue.—l am, &e., A Councillor.
