John Dixon, who had been apprehended j on suspicion of benig of unsound mind, hut whose mental aberration appears to have been occasioned through drink, was remanded until to-morrow. BEASTTALITY. Charles Moncnr was b ought up, charged with having, at "Dalhousie, Tnaneka, on the nth November, 1577, committed the offence of heastiality. Sub-Inspector Smith stated that the man had been arrested on a warrant issued by the Lawrence "Bench. He had telegraphed for the warrant, but had not yet received it. The prisoner acknowledged that he was at Dallumsie about the tune stated. He was arrested by Constable Joyce on suspicion of being the man described in the Police Ua:f«cJov whose arrest a warrant had been issued for beastiality. One of the defendants (M"Sweeney) being absent in iHmedin as a witness at the Supreme Court, the ease was adjourned until Thur-day next, at 10 a.m.
