The races to-day were the greatest success of the last ten years, the number of visitors being the largest yet Seen on tue cotir.se, and tite horses more numerous. I'he tirst event was the Trial Stakes.—Six started. After a grand race it was won by Grey Mointis by a head ; Kensington. 2 ; Blazing S ar, 3. Hael: Handicap Hurdle Race.—Four started. It was won by Stoker. Greymouth Jockey Club Handicap.— —This brought ten to the post, and was .von after a hard struggle by Eitin King ; J.uspir. '2 ; Morning Star, 3. Hack Race. Wt.n by Camelia. Railway Stakes Handicap. Seven started. Eitin King, 1; Morning Star, 2 ; Blazing Star. 3. Won by half a length.
