The Presbytery of Oamaru met yesterday atOiepopo. when th re were present —The Iters. J [Stevens (Moderator). A. l>. Todd. Cameron. Ityley. Clark, ami Haird. The ilev. Mr. Cameron was chosen Moderator for the e-.suing »ix months. Tiro I.'ev. Mr. Stevens reported that the Presbytery of Cllltha, at itf meeting in January, had requested the Probytery of Oamaru to take the oversight of Morven Station for the present. Messrs. Clark and Christie were appointed a. Committee to took for sites for a church and manse in the newly opened tip deferred payment: district of Waihemo. It was agreed to take up for consideration the remits of the Synod on Standing Committees and theological training. The records of the varions congregations were examine! and reported to he properly kept. Assesa»r-« were appointed with the {lev. Mr. Cameron ,' to form Session at. \Va:a>eka." The Preshy- j tery adjonrned until the second Wednesday | in Jane, v. hen it will meet at Otepopo. The : meeting was therefore adjourned for a week.
The Committee of the North Otago Turf Club met evening for the purpose of settling" with the owners of the winning horse:?.
