SIR GEORGE GREY'S VISIT.
A special train left Oamaru at noon for Pukoiti, the distance to which the southern line is completed, for the purpose of meeting Sir George Grey. The coacli from BlnT-skin will be met there at 3 p.m. The train will then return to Moeraki Junction, where it will cross the south train at 3.43, arriving at Hampden at 3.53, and making a short stay there. The train is timed to arrive at Ctepopo at 4.13. and Oamaru will be reached about G o'clock. The party will dine with his Worship the Mayor, and in the evening Sir George Grey will address a public I meeting at the Volunteer Hall, the chair j being takeii at 8 o'clock. The programme for to-morrow, so far [as we can gather, will be as follows: The Premier will receive several depuiatLons up to 10 o'clock. He will then be met at the railway station by the children attending the various schools, and will afterwards proceed to the Breakwater for the purpose of inspecting the harbour works. On returning, he will be enters tained at luncheon at the Masonic Hall, at half-rast 11 o'clock. The Premier will leave for the North at 1 o'clock by special train. <
