Tiie Council met to-day and received mtitions praying it to maintain us privileges. It. then adjourned for a week. In the Assembly, Mr. Berry gave notice of a resolution to reform the constitution. He proposes to replace the Council by an Unpi r House. Mr. Lyell made a personal explanation as to his efforts to effect a compromise. He read a memo, which promised simultaneous action by both Housts sending up an Appropriation Bill. Mr. Berry will to-morrow propose that the House adjourn till the 9th April. A .'old-bearing reef has been discov. red ut'Corner Inlet', by a fisherman, and a small rush lias already begun.
