TO TJtIE EDITOR OF Till". EVENINU MAII.. Sin, — [ have been asked by 1 fiends to deliver a lecture until I sun almost persuaded that 1 must really be the happy possessor of some latent talent of which 1 have all my.life been ignorant, and which 1 have neglected —I. blush to confess it—to cultivate. The subject mentioned was ''Human Nature.'' It will be readily admitted that it is just as well to study a subject before attempting to treat upon it, and I have not yet, as a positive fact, perfected my experience of human nature suiliciently to enable me to maintain my high reputation as a, lecturer. \\ ould those friends kindly intimate what other subject they would like me to treat upon, give me the head, or rather heads, and 1 would hare not the slightest reluctance in ■gratifying their burning anxiety to see me cut a figure in public as an emulator of Bright—of course, I mean John, not Charles. There are numerous matters of vast moment which occur to my mind while scribbling these few lines, many of which are of a national character. There is the revolution which has just taken place in the Jumgclnulerabad, or the proper disposition of the turtle .soup which meanders through Oamani. line these are subjects, which, at this particular moment, I fear would trench too much upon a matter which would complicate those relations which should subsist, but which are not always in the ascendancy when violated by any interference of any description which might rupture the international economy. lam not 1 repeat clear on this one question ; but there are others which might afford my numerous friends a little information, but which i now refrain from alluding to. because to do so would give them an idea of ;iie lecture beforehand, and spoil the a( (enounce.—l am. tvc.,
