[from our oavx correspondent.] s> THE EUROPEAN SITUATION. ENGLAND'S INVOLVEMENT IN WAR INEVITABLE. VICTORIA PLACED ON A WAR FOOTING. Dunemn, February 14. The following special cablegram has been received by the Star : Melbourne, February 14. The Victorian Government is advised that war is inevitable. Everything in that colony has been placed on a war footing, The Governor was advised to that effect before the Earl of Beaconsfield made his statement re the fleet.
