Trump Card ... 1 ' Chokebore ... ... ... 2 Standard Bearer ... ... ;$ Three horses started for this event, 1 viz., Trump Card, Chokebore, and ' Standard Bearer. The tirst-named was the favorite. All the horses were very fractious. From the start, Standard - Bearer took the lead, with Chokebore second, and Trump Card last. For a ' nuarter of a mile Chokebore and Trump > Card raped neek-and-neck, but Trump ' Card drew gradually and surely ahead, and won easily by a length. Time : 2 mins. 50 sees.
