AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS.

Messrs. Fleming and Hedley report that they held a sale of draught horses hacks, etc at the Commercial Yards, thi3 (baturdavl afternoon. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bidding was fairly spirited. Mensrs. Imrie and fjawn s were the first lot submitted, and, like their other consignments, were very useful and suitable for the retirements of the district. i;ood mares and geldings brought from I>*> to L«2- medium, from L3O to L4o. All Imrie's horses were cleared at those rates. Mr Menzies' lot were not of such a nuality, and, consequently, were not innch demand. The reserves on these were higher than purchasers were inclined to give, and they were therefore withdrawn. On account of various other vendors, they sold several other lots at from L3O to Lol 10s. They next submitted a few hacks on account of Mr. Swanson, and among them was the chesnut cob, 4 years, out of a thoroughbred mare, by Valiant—the most perfect specimen of a horse ever submitted in the yards. After a very spirited competition he fell to the nod of T. H. Brown, Esq., of the firm of Brown, Sutton, and Co. Messrs. ConneH and Clowes held a sale of property at their new store, Tyne-street, this afternoon. The attendance was large. Section J). Block IV., Oamaru Town, Thames-street, with buddings occupied by Messrs. Falconer and M'Farlane, was, after spirited competition, knocked down to Mr. Fdwin Collis. for L 3650. The above proD«rtv was sold on account of the executors of the late John Thomson. They also sold on account of John Mains, Esq., a farm of 240 acres, in Block VI., Otepopo District, at Lit i>3 per acre, the purchasers being Messrs. Scott and Forsythe. The following Sections in Oamaru Town were leased on amount of Mr. ShrimskL :-Section 11, Block XLIV.. Ll3, Mr. W. Aitken; Section 7, Block XLVL, Ll3, Mr. J. G. Robertson ; Section lb, Block XLV 1., LS, Mr. J. Church. Mr. G. Greenfield reports that at his sale to-day there wa3 a moderate attendance of buyers, but the bidding was spirited. Bacon realised 4d to sd, and the furniture, crockery, and jewellery were quitted at fair rates. TIMARU. Prices for new wheat are not fixed yet, and therefore cannot be quoted with auy certainty. New oats may be mentioned at from 2s. 9d. to .Is. The weather, during the last few days, has been all that could be desired for harvesting purposes, and there is every prospect of its continuance. Messrs. King and Raine report that they held their usual fortnightly Side of wool, skins, hide-, tallow, &c, onThuisday. The biddings were brfak, and the following prices were realised :—Cross-bred wool, Sd. to 9d.; merino, Bd. to 8M ; locks and pieces, 2d. to 4d.: cross-bred skins, woolly, ss. 7d. to ss. 10.1. ; do., half-woolled, 2s. 2d. to 2s. 3d ; merino do., 2s. to 2.1. 2d. ; pelts and light skins, 7d. to Is. Ud._; hides, 19s. each; tallow, withdrawn at 235.
