RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before T. W. Paiikbr, Esq., R,M.) BREACH OF THE PEACE. Robert Mahon and John Logan were charged with committing a breach of the peace in Thamesrstreet last evening, by fighting, The evidence of Constable Welch having been taken, his Worship fined each of the prisoners 205., with the alternative of four days' imprisonment. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY- •" Peter Morgan, James M'Whirter, and Louis Ingram, each pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly last night in Thames-street, and were cautioned and discharged. A RIOTOUS DRUNKARD. Patrick M'Cnsker was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Thamesstreet last evening, aud with assaulting Walter Buckingham, and breaking a pane of glass in the White Hart Hotel. The evidence went to show that the accused had gone into the White Hart Hotel and called for some beer. Buckingham, who was acting as bailiff in charge of the hotel, refused to give him the drink, and the prisoner then struck him with a pewter pot. After being turned out, the prisoner used bad language, and broke a pane of glass. Mr. Filleul, Clerk of the Court, was called to produce the records of the Court to show a number of convictions against the prisoner during the past few months. His Worship having commented upon the prisonei-'s conduct, sentenced him to |hree months' imprisonment with hard; labour for habitual drunkenness.
