The Goodwood Station of the Great Northern Trunk Railway is fixed near the centre of the property, bringing every part within two hours' travel of Dunedin. The lands of Brooklands are mostly composed of alluvial deposit flats of the richest description, carrying always the heaviest crop in the district, and equally adapted for wheat or potato crops. The rising ground being principally of limestone formation, with a great depth of splendid soil, is admirably suited for wheat cropping, whilst the whole is unsurpassed in New Zealand for growing English grasses, and ih stock-carrying capabilities are unequalled.
