[UEI-TEU'S TKI.K'IKAM.s, PF.K TOKSS AOENOY. j A maun::. December 21. Parliament has been prorogued. The Governor, in his speech, said that the labours of the session were exceptionally important. The incisures which has been sanctioned would improve national education, and increase (lie facilities for communication by the extension of railway and other important works tending to the progress of the Colony, which would now bo prosecuted. The Bill consolidating the land laws would give increased security to persons engaged in squalling, milling, and agricultural pursuits. The Governor congratulated Parliament on the exercise of a mutual forbearance, by which disputes in both Chambers had been satisfactorily adjusted. II" said the prospects of the Colony wciv ureal ly improved, there being many evidences of iis material wealth.
