The Goodwood Station of the Great Northern Trunk Railway is fixed near the centre of the property, bringing every part within two hours' travel of Dunedin. The lands of Brooklands are mostly composed of alluvial deposit fiats of the richest description, carrying always the heaviest crop in the district, and equally adapted for wheat or potato crops. The rising ground being principally of limestone formation, with a great depth, of splendid soil, is admirably suited for wheat cropping, whilst the whole is unsurpassed in New Zealand for growing English grasses, and its stock-carrying capabilities are unequalled. The property is now being surveyed into suitable lots, varying from 100 acres to 10 acres, with a few smaller allotments close to the Railway Station and roads leading thereto, suitable for business sites. About 70 acres of well-preserved Bush is being sub-divided into lots, so that every purchaser can secure his own timber, and be independent of the Government Bush Reserve. The property is sub-divided into paddocks by full-grown hawthorn hedges (of which there are several miles), and is well supplied with water by Pleasant River and other streams. There is also on the property a valuable Quarry of splendid freestone. The buyers w.ill have the option at the time of sale of taking the growing crops at valuation, and if not so disposed of, they will be afterwards sold by auction on the ground. Terms : One-fourth cash, the balance extending over a term of years, and bearing interest at the rate of 8 pe.v cent, per Plans in course of preparation, to be had at the Rooms of the Auctioneers, on the property, and at all the hotels and stores in the district.
Sir. Andrew Hepburn, who is dot resident on the property, will be prepared to show any intending buyers over the Estate. For particulars, apply to MACLEAN BROTHERS & CO., M'LANDRESS, HEPBURN, & CO.
