Mails for Fiji, Sandwich Islands, America. West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, will close here on Tuesday, 11th December, at 6 a.m. On and after Ist December, mails will close : _ For Dunedin and intermediate offices daily, at 6 a.m. For Maheno daily, at Gam. and 2 p.m. For Weston, Teaneraki, and Ngapara daily, at 3.45 p.m. For Papakaio and Duntroon daily, at 3.50 p.m. For Awamoko on Tuesday and Thursday, at 3.50 p.m. For Maerewhenua, Upper Ferry, and Omavama on Tuesday, at 3.50 p.m. For Pukeuri and Waitaki daily at 6 a.m. For Waimate, Timaru, Christchurch, and North daily, at 6 a.m. and 3.50 p.m. F. Bickxell, Postmaster.
