Councillor Headland reported that the Gas Committee had purchased 2(H) cask* of cement in Timaru, to be delivered in. Oamaru at 2os. fid.—a much lower rate than it could be obtained from anywhere else. On the motion of Councillor Proctor,, seconded by Councillor Gibbs, the actiorn of the Committee was endorsed. CAS WOKKS. The Engineer was authorised to employ labor to construct the new tank at the. Gasworks. TEST STRUCT. The Engineer was instructed to complete the formation of Test-street tw thtt Breakwater road. The Council then rose*.
