SPECIAL CABLEGRAM.
FROM OUR OWN CORKESPONDENT. Dunedin, November 8. The following is a special cablegram to the Star: —
Sydney, November 8. On the receipt of Paris news here of the failure of the Bank of New Caledonia scrip fell heavily. Speculators bought shares, and chartered a steamer for Noumea, where they were present before the news of the failure was known. Chester has broken several of the bookmakers.
