Betting- 2 to 1 against Royalty and Fakir, 3 to 1 Ivanhoe.
In the second round Shillelagh fell at the fifth hurdle ; in the third round Zetland fell at the double jump. It was a good race between the others till the straight, when Royalty came away and won by three lengths. Time—Biniu. 23|sec. Tradesman's Handicap. Ivanhoe led over the first hurdle followed by Banjo. At the second hurdle Roj-ally and S.nllelagli cannoned and both ciiiie to grief. At tlie second turn B injo went to the front and led all the way and won easily by five lengths. Betting —2 to lon t:ie field. Osborne, ihe ridor of Shillelagh in the Steeplechase, broke his c illar-bone in the ■ all caused by the cinnon with Royalty at the s c uid hurdle.
