October 20. At Mr. Tye's half-yearly sale of stock at Waipukurau, there was a large attendance, and the demand for store cattle was brisk? Some draught horses, bred by Messrs. Nairn, fetc'ied from L2O to L4l each. Mr. Tye reports the sale of Mr, Bell's Santane property to Messrs. Handipike and Roberts, of Otago. The property consists of 8000 acres freehold and 10,000 acres leasehold, and 15,000 sheep. 200 cattle, aiid 32 horses. The price is not disclosed.
