Wellington, October 13.

Mr. Mackay has written an impertinent letter to Mr. Hislop, threatening him for having stated that Mr. Mackay was concerned iu the locking up of Mr. Joyce prior to the late division. Mr. Hislop replied to Mr. Mackay that his statements were untrue, and requesting him to write in a more civil manner iu future to a member of the House.

Dr. Henry made an exhibition of himself in the House last evening. He attempted to explain his connection with the locking up of Mi*. Joyce prior to the division on the want of eoutidence motion, but only succeeded in making a very bad case appear in its worst light, and was laughed at for his pains.
