LATEST WAR NEWS. Bombay, September 16,1.0.26. A Russian official despatch says the Turks unsuccessfully attache! Grivitza. There was a cannonade on the 15th at Plevna. The Russian los< was 3000. A Turkish official despatch, dated the 11th. says the Russians have evacuated Tirnova, and reinforced Biela. Sulieman Pasha telegraphs on the loth that the Russian positions continue. Mehemefc Ali defeated with great loss on the 12th, a Russian corps, and puisued them to B:mikolom.

Colonel Baker is operating successfully. September 18. A Russian official despatch reports that the Turks on the 12th recovered three positions lost on the 11th. The Russians have completely invested Plevna by lines of trendies. The Russian losses were enormous. Sulieman Pasha hns silenced the Russiin batteries, and now holds Trajaus road. The Russian armv, after several sanguinary engagements, has wholly withdrawn to the west of Juntra. Ardalian has been evacuated. September 19, 9 7. A Russian official despatch says the assault on Plevna was repulsed with enormous losses There are rumours of an armist : ce and mediation, but they are semi-officially denied.
