|BY TELEGRAPH.] Wellington, September 14. The Govenment have received the following telegram from the Ageut-General:— London, September 12.

The ship Avalanche, for Wellington, came into a cr>]lui>n in the Channel, and sank immediately. There were ninety-nine souls on board, who were all lost, except three of the crew. Will wi: e to-morrow giving the names of returning colonists who were lost.
