In the House of Representatives this afternoon, on the motion of Mr. Pyke, the time for bringing up the report of the Otago Main Central Railway Committee was extended for seven days. DUNEDLN. August 31. Mrs. Burn declines to carry out the arrangement with the Education Board, and to-day the whole of the teachers in the Girls' High school forwarded their resignations. The Licensed Victuallers Society send Mr. S. Isaacs, their President, to Wellington to watch over their interests. Glenoaman and Callins are petitioning the Waste Lands Board to throw open a 5000 acre block on runs 122 and 129.
