GREYMOUTH.

August 28. The three-masted schooner St. Kilda is likely to become a complete wreck. Two of her masts went overboard last night. The Catholics have held a meeting, and resolutions condemnatory of the Education Bill were carried unanimously. In the case of gas explosion in the Greymouth Coal Compary, an inquest touching the death of John Kerr has been held. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that the cause of the explosion was the cutting of the fuse with a ragged edge. The other three men are expected to live.
