The wat came in rapidly from a hole forward, ai the vessel suddenly settled down abu an hour after striking. The captain ai crew had barely time to get over the si into boats. The chronometer was t only thing saved, the men not ev getting their boots. The boats pulled the island, and the crow afterwards reach Levuka, where an enquiry was held whi acquitted Captain Urquhart of all blarr The vessel was insured for 1500 in t New Zealand Company's Oflice.
