[fiiom our. own correspondents.] DUNEDIN. VINCENT COUNTY AND THE INTERIOR RAILWAY. July 30. Weir, late city Gas Inspector, has been committed for trial for forgery. Mr. Blair, District Engineer, has been elected a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. The Vincent County has declared for the Stratli-Taieri route for the interior railway. Mr. Blair's report has been forwarded to Wellington to-day. Dr. Skae reports against a central Lunatic Asylum, but recommends a resident medical officer for the institution here.
